Partner Letters from Dr Allan Bagg

Partner Letter 31 July 2017

Dear Partner

“Why am I here?”, “What is this all about anyway?”, “Is there any purpose to my life?”

These are some of the soul-searching questions that have plagued people for centuries.

Jeremiah wrote in Jeremiah 1:4-5,

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Think about that for just a moment… God knew you before you were even formed in your mother’s womb. And He had a plan for you. No one is born “by accident”. It may have been unplanned on some parents’ part, however, the life that was formed as a result came from God. And God sent that person, you, me or anyone to this earth with a specific plan in His mind.

One of the reasons so many people are struggling and battling with life is that they are not walking in the place that God has designed for them. It would be like asking a fish to walk around on land. It was designed for the water. On land, it looks like it is useless…and would either be flopping in the process of dying or die very quickly.

Drop that same fish back in the water and in seconds it will swim away with expertise and ease!

If we could discover the plan that God has for us and chose to obey Him and walk in His call and purpose, we would be able to handle our situations with expertise and ease. It does not mean that we would never have any problems again, but when they came we would know how to walk through them successfully or solve them. To someone watching, it would look like you made it look easy. They may even say something like, “He/she was born for this”.

How then will I know this plan?

Last month we looked at our ability to hear God’s voice. God has not left us as orphans but wants to be a part of leading you to your success. Just before Jesus was to go to the cross for us, He told His disciples in John 14:15-18,

If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

A Helper! The Holy Spirit is our helper. Jesus called Him “another” Helper. In other words, He would be able to help them just the same way Jesus did while He was with them on the earth. Jesus could lead them, teach them, feed them, heal them… in fact I cannot imagine the disciples having any problems for any length of time while they were with Jesus.

And Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would do the same for us. Look at John 16:13-14

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

HE WILL TELL YOU THINGS TO COME! All we need to do is spend time with Him and He will guide us and teach us.

I encourage you today, if you have not yet discovered God’s plan and purpose for your life, set some time aside and worship Him thanking Him for His guidance in your life. Then listen…listen for His guidance. Over a period of time, or even immediately, He will prompt you and lead you…guiding you along His plan and purpose. And when you see His will manifesting in your life you will experience the greatest joy knowing that you too can say, “I was born for this!”

Thank you to all our Partners who stand with Janine and me. Together we are walking out His perfect plan for this ministry. As you sow your seed this month, declare this, “This seed enables the plan and purpose of God to preach the Gospel to be fulfilled. And I thank God, as a part of this great plan, I receive my harvest to continue walking in His plan and purpose for my life!”

Please remember, we love you and pray for you every day.

You are blessed,

Dear Partner

When I think back on my life, I have seen times when I made decisions that really hurt me or crippled any chance of success. In all sincerity, I thought I had made the best decision that I could with the information available. Certainly, I would not have purposefully made a decision that would have harmed me. So, how come I made supposedly good decisions that turned out bad for me?

The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 14:12,

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

A fair question would then be; if it seems right and it is not, how would I know?

Praise God, He has given us the answer. Romans 8:14,

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Or, you could read it this way…the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God. Our loving heavenly Father does not want to see us defeated by our own ignorance. He wants to guide us in our everyday walk.

Someone says, “It would be great if I could hear the voice of God.”

My first question is, are you born again? Because, if you are, you do hear His voice!

“What, no I don’t.”

Yes, you do…look what Jesus said in John 10:27,

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

If Jesus said it, that settles it…we hear His voice.

Someone might respond, “Well, I beg to differ…I have not heard it.”

Again, Jesus said you do…if I think I have not heard Him it is not because He has not spoken. Jesus said I hear His voice. In that case I have heard Him speaking…but, may not have recognised it as His voice.

Sometimes we will say things like, I have a hunch. Or, something told me. Well, it’s not something…it is someone…the Holy Spirit!

James gave us a promise in James 1:5,

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Look at 1 Corinthians 1:30,

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God…

Paul prayed in Colossians 1:9-10,

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

I pray this prayer over you every day. Make a quality decision today to receive this and to pray it over your life every day. Declare this out loud, “I believe that I am filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. My walk is worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him and I am fruitful in every good work as I increase in the knowledge of God. Christ has become for me wisdom…I receive the wisdom of God. I hear the voice of my Shepherd. I hear the voice of God and I follow Him.”

Now trust the Word of God and your confession of faith. Be expectant. Be listening. And as you receive guidance, follow His promptings in obedience. The more you practice His presence, the more sensitive you will become to His leading. And we can look forward to making wise and accurate decisions that lead us to God’s perfect will for our lives.

Janine and I love you dearly and pray for you every day.

You are blessed!

Dear Partner

It is with great joy that I write to you this month. Just as the Apostle Paul wrote to his partners in Philippians 1:4-5 (Amplified version),

In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight). 5 [I thank my God] for your fellowship (your sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now.

Jesus gave His disciples this great commission just before He ascended to be seated at the right hand of our Father in Mark 16:15,

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

It is our responsibility to continue this mandate.

These days it seems that people have been continuously battered with so much bad news. It looks like the world has gone crazy. Whether it is economic fear, political turmoil, racial tension, health attacks, financial stress and burdens…we must remember that the enemy has been at work to steal the Word, our faith, our joy and our relationship with our Lord.

Jesus told us in Mark 4:14-15,

The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

He also said in John 10:10a,

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

BUT…don’t stop there…look at the (b) part of that verse,

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus intended for us to enjoy His life and to enjoy that life more abundantly!

The only way the fear mongering of the enemy can overtake us is if we allow it. Now more than ever we must combat and stand up against this attack. How?

James tells us in, James 4:7-8,

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

How do we resist the devil? We follow the example of Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11. Declare the Word of God… “It is written!”

That’s where our partnership becomes so vital. How will people know that they even have a right to stand up against the attacks of the enemy? Paul encourages us in Romans 10:13-15,

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?

Together you and I are a vital part of preaching this good news. Through friends and partners like you we can stretch further and further…reaching more and more people with this awesome truth. Saving the lost…revealing the authority of the believer…equipping saints for their work of ministry…teaching His people to prosper in every realm of life; spiritually, mentally, physically, socially and financially…demonstrating the power of His resurrection…and teaching the Word and how to practically apply it and walk in the victory as Jesus paid for on the Cross.

There are exciting developments happening behind the scenes to increase our capacity. Keep an eye out for them…we will let you know closer to the time.

In the meantime, keep His word in your heart and in your mouth (Romans 10:8). Hold fast to the confession of your hope for we know that our God is faithful (Hebrews 10:23)!

Janine and I love you dearly, thank God for you and pray for you daily.

You are blessed!

Jesus is Lord,

Dear Partner

Here we are at the launch of a new and exciting year. We have seen the hand of God moving powerfully in so many lives through the word that He gave us for last year:

Great Growth - Great Acceleration - Great Growth

We here at Allan Bagg Ministries are gearing up for an even more exciting year. In spending time with our Lord in prayer I heard the Lord impressing upon me a call to walk even closer with Him.

All through the Word of God we see examples of those who walked with God. Genesis 5:24 tells us,

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

No, of course our goal is not to be taken until we are done with our assignment on this earth, or when our Lord comes to take us...but we can see that it is God's desire for us to walk with Him.

Notice, it is us walking with God...not us doing our own thing and then hoping God will come along with us. Jesus told us in Matthew 6:33,

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

The Word of God tells us in Amos 3:3,

Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

I made the quality decision very early in my Christian walk...GOD IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

I know this can almost sound obvious, yet this is exactly where the enemy tries to steal from us. Sometimes we go through some serious trials and challenges and then the devil will try and put

thoughts in our heads like, "where is God now?", or, "are you sure God said". Here's a ringer, "this works for others but not for you".

When this happens to me, I always remind myself of the wise words of James 1:2-4,

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let

patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and

complete, lacking nothing.

By faith, thank God for being with you through the trial. Draw closer to God by spending more time with Him in prayer and worship. As we walk with God we see His promise of a reward where we will be complete with nothing lacking! Hallelujah!!

I sensed in my heart that as we walk this way we can expect a double portion ... acceleration upon acceleration.

Receive it by faith! As you sow your faith seed this month...decree in agreement with the Word of God, "I am expectant of being complete and lacking nothing! I receive my double portion...acceleration upon acceleration, in the Name of Jesus."

Janine and I love you dearly and pray for you every day..

You are blessed!

Dear Partner

Jesus was talking with His disciples in John 15:12-14 and told them,

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.

When Jesus called them friends, He was not talking about them being His “pal” or “buddy”. Notice, He said that there is no greater love than to lay done one’s life for one’s friend. This is Covenant talk!

James said about Abraham in James 2:23,

…the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

When the covenant was made before Abraham, and God included him in it, he chose to believe God in every aspect of his life. He lived for the covenant of God and lived as he believed the covenant. God considered him a covenant partner…friend of God!

We see the same with Moses in Exodus 33:11a,

So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

When Jesus said that if we do what He commands, He calls us friends, He was calling us partners in the Great Covenant of Love, His blood Covenant.

And He was not referring to the ten commandments. He had just given them the great commandment, the royal law (James 2:8), the law through which all the law is fulfilled (Galatians 5:14)… Love each other the same way He loves us.

Jesus has laid down His life for us…on the cross! He shed His blood and died for us so that we may have life eternal. And He said in John 17:3,

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

The foundation of our eternal life is knowing God. Not just knowing about Him, but becoming intimate with Him, talking with Him face to face as Moses did. Let’s spend quality time where we draw aside from the mad rush of things around us and draw into His presence. As we wait on the Lord we draw on His strength (Psalm 59:9, Isaiah 40:31).

Then in that strength, as friends of God, we want to lead others to Him that they may know Him as well. True love is manifested in leading others to Life…His Life!

We do not have to die as Jesus did. His sacrifice sealed the Covenant. We lay down our lives as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1). Let’s die to our own agendas and live for Him by doing and giving our all to reach out to others with the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ.

This is why Janine and I appreciate our partners so much! We are so much more than partners; we are friends with our Lord Jesus Christ going about His work. Your prayers and financial seeds that you sow every month empower us to reach this world with this awesome Covenant of Love bringing multitudes to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

And we continue to lay down our lives for His glory. As your friends in Christ Jesus, Janine and I love you dearly and pray for you every day.

You are blessed!
